In the middle of the Stralsund shipyard area, a new place for digital innovation, technology, and education is being created: the werftEINS technology center.
With this new technology center, the Hanseatic City of Stralsund aims to strengthen the region’s innovative power and create an environment where forward-looking ideas can grow.

At the heart of this new innovation hub is dockEINS, which is part of MakerPort Stralsund. This space brings together founders, creatives, and forward thinkers, offering them room to grow. dockEINS sees itself as a bridge between the city, science, and entrepreneurship.

Start-up Competition 2025/26: Win rent-free space for one year

To mark the opening of dockEINS, MakerPort Stralsund and the Hanseatic City of Stralsund are launching a competition for technology-oriented start-ups, teams, and projects that aim to advance digitalization, media education, or future technologies.

Who can participate?

They are seeking scalable, technology-oriented start-ups, teams, and companies working in areas such as:

Digitalization
Media education
Future technologies
New forms of learning and working

… and who want to actively help shape the region’s innovative strength.

What can you win?

The winning teams will receive one year of rent-free office space at dockEINS — only utility costs must be covered by the users.
The winners will receive not only office space (75–180 m² of workspace) with basic equipment (tables, chairs, cabinets, etc.) but also access to meeting rooms and an open community area. You can become part of an active start-up and innovation network — and enjoy an inspiring atmosphere with waterfront views, historic charm, and plenty of creative freedom, all at no cost.
