For the fourth time, the Ministry of Digitalisation MV is organising a trip for start-ups from M-V to the international Slush trade fair in Finland's capital Helsinki together with the chambers of industry and commerce.
Five start-ups from M-V can take part in Slush
"This year, we will give five start-ups the opportunity to present themselves at this international trade fair and also make new contacts," said Minister Christian Pegel in Schwerin, inviting start-ups in M-V to apply. "Our start-up scene is innovative, diverse, dynamic and determined - we were able to see this for ourselves at this year's state's own digitalisation congress NØRD. Taking to the international stage now is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience. If your company is based in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is no more than seven years old, your business model includes aspects of digitalisation and you are active internationally or want to be - apply!"

How can you apply to take part in the Slush?

The first stage in the selection process is a pitching training workshop with Dima Sarle on 26 September 2024 in Rostock, the final pitch competition to select the winners for the start-up tickets and the pre-event for the "Slush" will then take place on 7 October.
The application deadline is 12 August 2024.
What can you expect if you take part?
The company trip to the international trade fair in Helsinki is being organised for the period from 19 to 22 November 2024.
The start-up ticket to be won includes a preparatory webinar for "Slush" by the Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK) Finland as well as admission for one person per start-up, one pitching slot on the "German Pitching Stage".
Participation in the accompanying programme of the start-up company trip and free overnight accommodation for the duration of the trip are also included. The ticket is valid for one person from a start-up at a time; flight quotas are provided by the Rostock Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Apart from the accommodation costs, travel expenses and other costs associated with the trip will not be covered.

Slush is one of the most important meeting places for the start-up scene worldwide.
It is a great source of inspiration for founders because successful start-up personalities present themselves on the stages and discuss with each other. Start-ups can present themselves at SLUSH and exchange ideas with other start-ups, companies and mentors. From 20 to 21 November 2024, more than 13,000 participants will meet in Helsinki, including a good 5,000 start-ups, 3,000 investors and 300 international journalists.
