The SME Fund covers up to 75% of the costs for your trademark matters. This article provides you with checklists and guidelines.
It's a fundamental recommendation to entrust trademark research to experienced attorneys, as trademark disputes can quickly generate high costs. For young companies, this can quickly become a threat to their existence.
The only hurdle is the attorney fees incurred by hiring them. However, relief is now available until the end of the year from the European Union, with a possibility for reimbursement for each company.
Important: The application for reimbursement must be made before conducting the research and registration!
So, only commission both once you have received the corresponding confirmation message.
Brief overview: What is supported and how?
- Protection of trademarks (or designs) in the EU (including fees for application, classes, examination, registration)
- Reimbursement of 75% of the costs at national, regional, and EU level; up to €1000
- Reimbursement of 50% of the costs at the international level; up to €1000
Two files are required:
- PDF: Your tax number (or that of your company): Allocation of the tax number by the tax office
- PDF: A bank statement showing that the IBAN belongs to your company
