A total of nine ideas were submitted to the Inspired competition, addressing current and future challenges in the areas of health, sustainability, digitalization, social innovation, and emerging technologies.
The diversity of the submissions impressively demonstrated the wealth of creativity, commitment, and innovative strength present in the region.

What is the Inspired competition about?

Many good ideas arise in everyday life, during studies, in research projects, or through observing social developments. Often, however, these thoughts remain unspoken or are not pursued further. This is precisely where the "Inspired" ideas competition comes in. It creates a platform where innovative approaches can gain visibility and have the opportunity to develop further.
The competition offers students, researchers, staff, and aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to present their ideas to a broad audience and receive valuable feedback from experts.
The focus is not solely on awarding prizes to the best concepts. Rather, it is about encouraging people to develop their ideas further, adopt new perspectives, and take the first step towards innovation or even starting a business.

The motivations for participating in the ideas competition are as diverse as the submitted concepts themselves. Many participants want to actively contribute to solving the challenges of our time. Topics such as demographic change, climate protection, digitalization, and improving healthcare directly affect society and offer numerous starting points for new solutions.
Others see the competition as an opportunity to put their own interests and skills into practice. An idea with the potential to improve the lives of many people can emerge from a scientific question, an observation in daily work, or a personal experience.
Last but not least, enthusiasm for new things also plays an important role. The desire to think differently, optimize existing processes, or use innovative technologies effectively drives many creative minds.

The competition provides the perfect setting to showcase these ideas and receive initial support for their further development.

And these are the winners

The winning and submitted projects exemplify the ingenuity, expertise, and creative drive of their creators. With their innovative approaches, they contribute not only to identifying challenges but also to offering concrete solutions.

Why participating in the competition is worthwhile

A competition like "Inspired" offers far more than the prospect of an award. For many participants, it's a valuable opportunity to critically examine and further develop their own ideas.
Exchanging ideas with experts, potential partners, and other idea generators creates new impetus and valuable contacts.
Furthermore, participation helps participants formulate their ideas clearly and present them effectively. This skill is not only important for future startup ventures but also crucial in science, business, and civic engagement.
Another advantage lies in the motivation generated by the competition. Those who submit their ideas engage intensively with their potential, benefits, and feasibility. An initial thought can thus evolve into a concrete project. It's not uncommon for competition entries to later develop into research projects, collaborations, or even successful startups.
